I am a 51-year-old woman who wears many hats: wife of 30 years, mother of 4, grandmother of 4, full-time educator for 28 years, graduate student (again!). I am interested in many things. I have a passion for travel, especially RV travel; I am concerned about various aspects of education; I love the outdoors; I love to read and to write; I love art and music; I am an artist; I am a writer. My list could go on.
This blog will attempt to address my various passions from the viewpoint of one who is trying to find balance and harmony in this world.

Since I started a second blog about rving, travel and nature, Views From the Rear Window, I will no longer discuss those topics on this blog. A new semester is about to start and a new school year, so I’m sure I will have lots to write about in the area of education and writing. The presidential election year is winding down and the 2008 Olympics are concluding as I write. The WNBA season will resume next week and NFL football is about to start. I am sure that I will have lots to write about in the area of current events. When I started this blog in January as a requirement for a class, I had no idea that I would still be writing in August, 3 months after the conclusion of the class. The class, Writing for Electronic Communities, revolutionized my life. Blogging is just one small outward manifestation of that revolution.

I am a 52 year old wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. I am a writer and an artist. I suppose I should reclaim that I am a poet but I haven’t written poetry in a long time. I work full-time as a curriculum supervisor for reading/language arts/world languages for a K -12 school district in NJ. I love blogging.
i didn’t know you were an artist!!! I’d love to see some of your work!
